I’ve been eager to share this keto key lime pie recipe for quite some time. I originally made it for my father-in-law last fall. Key lime is his favorite dessert and he had just recently started the keto diet. So I figured if I could make a keto key lime pie that tastes great, I could prove that you can still have amazing desserts while staying true to your keto diet.

Though it came out amazingly, I’ve always thought of key lime pie as more of a spring and summertime treat. So finally with spring just a couple of days away, I present to you: keto key lime pie! You are going to love this recipe. In fact, This recipe might just be my favorite keto dessert recipe yet.

Truly and honestly, if I didn’t know any better I would have a hard time believing that this recipe is keto friendly. With the perfect combo of tart and sweet, this low-carb key lime pie makes for the perfect sunny day treat! Since it is sweetened with Swerve Sweetener you get all the taste without the sugar!

This keto key lime pie recipe yields 10 servings or slices. Each slice of low-carb key lime pie contains about 285 calories, 28 grams of fat, and only 3 net carbs. So no need to feel bad about having a whole slice to yourself.

Keto Key Lime Pie Ingredients

Crust

  1. 3/4 cup pecan cookie pieces
  2. 1/2 cup almond flour
  3. 1/3 cup melted butter
  4. 2 tbsp Swerve Granular

Filling

  1. 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  2. 1 cup key lime juice
  3. 3/4 cup dried milk powder
  4. 1 cup Swerve Confectioners
  5. 8oz or 1 cup of  sour cream
  6. 1 tsp xantham gum

Directions

  1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix pecan cookie pieces, almond flour, and 2 tbs Swerve on the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Next, melt down the butter and pour into the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Using silicone spatula, press the mixture down evenly on the bottom of the springform pan.low-carb pie crust
  5. Place the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. Then take the crust out of the oven to cool down while you start to make the filling.
  6.  Next, mix all of the filling ingredients together in a blender and blend for 90 seconds. Make sure none of the ingredients are getting stuck to the sides of the blender.
  7. Once well blended, pour filling on top of the pie crust and place in the oven for 13 minutes.
  8.  After that, take the pie out of the oven and place on a cooling rack for about one hour.
  9. Let the pie chill in the fridge for at least a few hours but preferably overnight.
  10. Lastly, cut into 10 servings and enjoy a slice of keto friendly key lime pie!
