7 Keto Cookies Made With Cream Cheese That Are Soft And Chewy

For me, making soft and chewy cookies that are keto-friendly used to be quite a challenge. Keto-friendly flours do not typically rise the same way that wheat flour does. Because of this getting the perfect chewy texture is not easy to do. However, this all changed once I started to add cream cheese to my keto cookie recipes.

In fact, all of my keto cookie recipes made with cream cheese have become my go-to low-carb cookies. Not only does the cream cheese help with the texture, but also with taste and reducing the cooling effects of erythritol. The cooling effect is by far the most difficult problem to deal with when baking keto cookies with Swerve or erythritol sweetener.

All the cookies on this list contain fewer than 4 net carbs and are loaded with fats. In addition, I believe you will find these cream cheese cookies to be the best tasting keto cookies online. Amongst all of the keto desserts, keto cookies are in my opinion the hardest to perfect.

Adding cream cheese to my keto cookies is the only thing I have figured out that has made a huge difference to the quality of my cookies. In addition, since cream cheese is keto-friendly it also helps to keep the carbs as low as possible and the fats as high as possible.

So for those and many other reasons I love adding cream cheese to many of my keto dessert recipes. That said here are my top 7 keto cookie recipes made with cream cheese!

#1 Chewy Keto Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Cookies

chewy keto cream cheese chocolate chip cookies

Who doesn’t like chocolate chip cookies? These amazing keto cookies are packed full of cream cheese and Lily’s chocolate chips. If you are a fan of soft and chewy cookies, then look no further. Thanks to the added cream cheese these keto cookies have the perfect texture.

In addition, they are loaded up with keto-friendly fats and very low in net carbs. I used a custom nut flour blend of almond and pecan flour. I love adding pecan flour to my keto dessert recipes because it is higher in fat and lower in carbs than almond flour.

The only downside to using pecan flour is that it is more expensive and much less common than almond flour. That said, it can be harder to come by at the grocery store. Luckily, however, you can order it online or simply make it yourself with a food processor or blender.

That said, my favorite thing about these cookies is that they taste so good. They truly taste almost as good as the real thing. However, unlike regular sugar-packed cookies, you can actually feel good about eating these low-carb treats. Enjoy them with a cold glass of unsweetened almond or coconut milk for a high-fat and low-carb treat.

This recipe yields a total of 6 servings or cookies. Each cookie contains roughly 230 calories, 22.82 grams of fat, 15.67 total carbs, 2.65 net carbs, and 4 grams of protein. I might add that these cookies are pretty large, so you get a nice sized keto sweet for under 3 grams of net carbs. Not to mention over 22 grams of keto-friendly fats. That said, it is hard to go wrong with these chewy keto chocolate chip cookies with cream cheese!

#2 Keto Snickerdoodle Cream Cheese Cookies

keto snickerdoodle cream cheese cookies

These keto snickerdoodle cream cheese cookies are as good as it gets. Snickerdoodle cookies have always been one of my favorite cookies. However, your typical snickerdoodle cookie can easily contain over 30 grams of net carbs. That is more carbs than most people are allowed in a whole day of ketogenic dieting.

These keto snickerdoodle cream cheese cookies, on the other hand, contain only 1.45 net carbs per cookie! Now you can enjoy a snickerdoodle cookie without it taking up your whole days worth of carbs. In addition, these low-carb cookies are loaded with keto-friendly fats.

Like many of the other cookies on this list, these cookies are made a combination flour of almond flour, pecan flour, and of course cream cheese. All three of these ingredients make up the bulk of the recipe to help keep the carbs to a minimum.

In addition, they are also loaded with butter and Swerve Sweetener. It is then rolled in cinnamon sugar (Swerve) which truly makes it a snickerdoodle cookie. It is, however, the cream cheese that makes this recipe stand out.

Not only does the cream cheese add amazing flavor, but it also is the key to keeping these keto snickerdoodle cookies soft and chewy. These cookies make for a great quick breakfast or snack on the go. They are a natural replacement when craving a sugary cinnamon roll or donut. Except for this way, you can stay in ketosis!

This keto snickerdoodle cookie with cream cheese recipe yields a total of 10 servings or cookies. Each cookie contains roughly 160.2 calories, 16 grams of fat, 12 total carbs, 1.45 net carbs, and 3.05 grams of protein.

#3 Keto Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut Cookies With Cream Cheese

low-carb chocolate chip cookies with macadamia nuts

These keto macadamia nut cookies are yet another amazing keto cookie made with cream cheese. If you like my chewy keto chocolate chip cookies, then you are going to love these as well. The overall recipe is very similar in taste and texture.

However, these are loaded up with heart-healthy macadamia nuts. Along with pecans, macadamia nuts are amongst the lowest carb and highest fat nuts you can buy. Which is why I use both of these nuts in this recipe. They also both contain high amounts of monounsaturated fats.

Though I would personally contend that many types of fat with the exception of trans fats are good fats, almost everyone can agree that monounsaturated fats have many health benefits. That said, you can feel good about eating one of these low-carb cookies!

This keto chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie with cream cheese recipe yields a total of 6 servings or cookies. Each cookie contains about 264 calories, 26.32 grams of fat, 16.32 total carbs, 2.9 net carbs, and 4.36 grams of protein. That said, these cookies are quite large, so you are getting a lot of cookie for under 3 grams of net carbs.

#4 Chewy Keto Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Cookies

keto peanut butter cream cheese cookies

It took me a very long time to finally come out with a chewy keto peanut butter cookie recipe that I was proud of. I tried countless recipes and though some ok, none of them met my expectations. Either the taste was off, the texture was off, or the cooling effect was just too strong.

I don’t know what it is about peanut butter cookies they seem to always have a strong cooling effect. The only thing that finally seemed to make a big difference is when I added cream cheese to the recipe. It not only drastically helped with the cooling effect but also with the taste and texture.

I also could never get a soft and chewy texture with my keto peanut butter cookie recipes. This is why up until recently my only keto peanut butter cookie recipe was a crunchy peanut butter cookie. It was good and all but most people think of chewy cookies when they think of peanut butter cookies.

That said, the cream cheese made all the difference to the texture of these low-carb cookies. Now they are soft, chewy, and of course, they taste incredible. Enjoy with a cold cup of unsweetened nut milk or coconut milk!

This chewy keto peanut butter cream cheese cookie recipe yields a total of 6-8 servings or cookies. I like to give an option for this one because they can be too big for some people when they cook them in batches of 6 cookies.

If you make six cookies, then each cookie contains roughly 304.5 calories, 29.36 grams of fat, 13.61 total carbs, 3.49 net carbs, and 7.57 grams of protein. If you make 8 cookies, then each cookie contains roughly 228.38 calories, 22 grams of fat, 10.21 total carbs, 2.61 net carbs, and 5.68 grams of protein.

#5 Keto Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

low-carb peanut butter chocolate chip cookies with cream cheese

Once I finally perfected my chewy keto peanut butter cookie recipe I knew I needed to add Lily’s Chocolate Chips. To me, chocolate and peanut butter are just about the best combination of flavors you can have. The smooth rich flavor of chocolate and the salty peanut butter are a match made in heaven.

They are the perfect keto treat when the cravings for sweets like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups come around. However, unlike the sugar-heavy chocolate peanut butter cups, these keto cookies won’t send you flying out of ketosis.

Like the other cookies on this list, they are made with a mix of almond flour, pecan flour, and you guessed it, peanut butter and cream cheese! All four of these ingredients are low in carbs and loaded with plenty of fats. Because of that, you can enjoy one of these huge cookies while only consuming 3.36 net carbs.

This chewy keto peanut butter chocolate chip cream cheese cookie recipe yields a total of 8 servings or cookies. Each cookie contains roughly 247 calories, 23.71 grams of fat, 13.58 total carbs, 3.36 net carbs, and 6.05 grams of protein So, as you can see, these keto-friendly cookies are not only low in carbs but are also loaded with keto-friendly fats!

These keto pumpkin cream cheese cookies are the perfect low-carb fall treat. Of course, there is nothing at all wrong with making these cookies year-round. That said, pumpkin dessert recipes are synonymous with fall and the holidays.

This makes them a perfect treat to bring along with you to holiday parties and gatherings. This way you have a keto-friendly fall-inspired dessert to enjoy and you don’t have to be too envious of all the people loading up on sweet treats.

#7 Perfect Keto Nut Butter Cream Cheese Cookies

perfect keto nut butter cream cheese cookies

Last but not least on this list is my perfect keto nut buttercream cheese cookies. It is a similar recipe to my keto peanut butter cookies except this one is made with Perfect Keto Nut Butter. Perfect Keto Nut Butter is made with a combination of macadamia nuts, cashews, coconut butter, MCT oil, vanilla bean, and sea salt.
This combo makes Perfect Keto Nut Butter lower in net carbs than traditional peanut butter or even almond butter. In addition, these ingredients make Perfect Keto Nut Butter, in my opinion, a healthier option. Though I do use peanut butter in some of my recipes, many people try to stay away from peanut butter.
That said, I wanted to provide a healthier option for the people who want to avoid peanut butter yet love the taste of peanut butter cookies. Though I use perfect keto nut butter you can use any nut butter you want with this recipe. Just note that it will change the nutritional value if you do.
In addition to the nut butter, these cookies are also made with my almond and pecan flour combo. That along with the cream cheese and Swerve make these cookies very low in net carbs. Each cookie contains over 25 grams of fat per cookie!
